I am looking for a full time MBA program in Florida. Can anybody help me choose the best one? Here are my options:
Florida - Warrington: well ranked, but it's a two-year program which means more time and more money.
Florida International: 1 year program, reasonably priced
University of Central Florida: also a 1 year program and not too expensive. I can't seem to find a lot about this business school though.
Tampa - Sykes: Seems to have a good reputation, but is it good for jobs in the area?
Is there something else as well? I am open to suggestions... Thanks!

I'd say that in most cases, Warrington is the best choice. The MBA is ranked in Businessweek and is generally a world-class institution. Keep in mind that Warrington also offers two different one-year MBA options, if you're crunched for time.
But it would ultimately depend on your career goals. I could see how the other, more affordable options might be good for local professionals who don't necessarily want or need to make large career leaps.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I guess it's better to pay a little more up front for better career growth.
I don't want to make a large career leap, but simply climb the food chain. I work as a project manager for a logistics company but would like to move into a role like a distribution manager or even director level. Would I need to do 2 years in an MBA for this kind of move?

That doesn't seem like that big of a shift to me, but what you should do is connect with the schools directly and they should be up front about your expectations in terms of the program's fit. Also, scour LinkedIn for people who have done MBAs in each of these schools, and see what their current roles are.
My sense is that Warrington still would be the best choice, either way, because of its relationships with potential employers and rankings.

Yes, as I mentioned in the first post, I'm considering the full-time MBA at Warrington. Not sure about whether to pursue the 1 or 2 year option though.

Would you guys say that the University of Tampa (Sykes) MBA is a better business school than USF (Muma)? This has truly been one of the most difficult decisions for me. I would appreciate any help as I am not from the florida area.

I suggestion people respond to you at http://board.find-mba.com/general-forum/university-of-tampa-or-university-of-south-florida-for-mba-38609 where you have raised a similar point.
