Hi, I gave my GMAT last week and got a score of 580. I want to apply for Fall 2014 and so not thinking of giving GMAT again.
My profile is as below:
Experience: (3+)
Information Technology : 2 years and 4 months
Financial Firm (Startup): 1 year
and also looking after family business.
GDP: 3.0
Working for a NGO since 10 months.
What are my chances of getting into Katz, Buffalo or Rutgers?
Apply to Sunny Buffalo and Katz School of Business

Your GMAT is well under the averages at these schools: http://business-schools.findthebest.com/compare/51-171-237-275/Rutgers-the-State-University-of-New-Jersey-Camden-vs-Rutgers-the-State-University-of-New-Jersey-New-Brunswick-and-Newark-NJ-vs-University-of-Pittsburgh-Katz-PA-vs-University-at-Buffalo-SUNY-NY
Maybe the quality of your work experience will make up for it, but I suggest you read Shortcut to find the best US MBA www.find-mba.com/board/36065

Hi Duncan,
I have read those posts of yours.
Those are very helpful.
I am planning to apply to these colleges.
But according to you are there any other colleges which are good for entrepreneurship/Finance in US.
I also have some other extra curricular to add to my profile like
1. I am part of a photographic society.
2. I have done financial course from the stock exchange.
3. I am also planning a startup with a friends for the budding photographers.

Most major business schools in the US are strong at teaching enterpreneurship, and almost all are great for finance. Of course it also depends on your career goals. I'd start with these top 100 programmes: http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/global-mba-ranking-2013
Also look at the specializations: http://www.find-mba.com/specializations

Ideally you will improve your GMAT score a lot. A small improvement makes a big difference in the school you can go to. These are ten schools I would suggest: http://business-schools.findthebest.com/compare/11-127-155-159-234-262-269-359-396-417/Seattle-University-Albers-WA-vs-Ball-State-University-Miller-IN-vs-University-of-Utah-Eccles-UT-vs-St-Louis-University-Cook-MO-vs-University-of-Portland-Pamplin-OR-vs-DePaul-University-Kellstadt-IL-vs-Oklahoma-State-University-Spears-vs-Suffolk-University-Sawyer-MA-vs-University-of-the-Pacific-Eberhardt-CA-vs-University-of-Massachusetts-Boston-MA
