Anyone know the reason for the biggest downfall (29 to 43) of Manchester Business School in Financial Times 2014 FTMBA ranking? Will this downfall impact negatively on employers ie will they now care less about going to MBS to hire their MBAs?
Surely the downfall can't be blamed on UK economy 3 years ago as other schools in UK have done well eg. Warwick and Said.
Is MBS on a downward spiral?
Look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Cheers

Other than Warwick and Said, all the other UK schools fell. That's because the salaries all fell. I don't think that's anything specific about MBS. It's because UK schools are especially attractive to Commonwealth citizens, and the UK's new visa regime makes it harder for them to get higher salaries.
Warwick rose because it introduced a 650 GMAT requirement, Oxford recovered only slightly, after a previous dip.
