I'm a little knew to the world of MBAs and I was planning on taking my GMAT soon. Is there a limit on how many times you can take the test? Do you have to wait a certain amount of months before re-taking it?

No, there are no limits. You can re-take the test whenever you want if you are not satisfied with your score.

You cannot take more than once a month. All scores are reported to the school that you applied for. So if you took the test a dozen times, it might look bad. A couple website to prep for the test:
